Overview
We are seeking talented and motivated Tools Programmers to join our network of expert consultants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and a deep understanding of tools development. As a tools programmer, you will play a crucial role in creating, maintaining, and enhancing the tools used by various teams within the organization to optimize game development processes.
Projects
The types of projects we work on are divers, they range from indie to AAA, from Unity and UE5 to proprietary engines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their tools requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Design and implement tools to streamline workflows and enhance productivity for artists, designers, and developers.
- Maintain and improve existing tools, ensuring they are up to date and compatible with evolving technology and software.
- Identify areas for automation and create efficient toolsets to accelerate development processes.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on the use of tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to tools and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
- Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with tools development, automation, and scripting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Passion for gaming and familiarity with game development tools and processes is a plus.
Work location
- Majority of projects can be done fully remote. Sometime clients will ask to come in the studio from time to time.
